Education is a cornerstone of USPS and to
this end we offer a variety of educational courses:
The America's Boating Course 3rd Edition - This is an
introductory boating safety course for our members and the general public. This course is a
formal introduction to boating and boating safety and is beneficial to folks
planning on buying their first boat, those who already own a boat and would
like to feel more comfortable on the water, and even to those "old
hands" who have never had formal training in boat handling and boat
course may be taken on-line (see the ABC3 link below)
and since it is a NASBLA (
resident born after January 1, 1989 must show the TWRA-issued wallet Boating
Safety Education Certificate as proof of successful completion of the TWRA
Boating Safety exam.
This course will
prepair you to pass the TWRA exam which will be offered on the last day of the
course for those who are interested. For those who wish to become members in our
Squadron, you may take either the ABC3 course or
our Seamanship course which we provide in Squadron..
One or the other must be accomplished within
